About Conrad

I have my B.A. from Central Connecticut State University, where I majored in philosophy of science and minored in math.  Philosophy of science is basically the study of the scientific method.

I can program at a student or hobbyist level.

I’m a non-medical hypnotist.  The basic idea is that your emotions should serve you.  I work with mentally healthy people who have bad stuff they’re carrying around from years before.  I help them process that stuff emotionally and clarify their thinking, so they have emotional responses about what’s actually happening, rather than about something they’re reminded of.

In practice, often that means I help people stick to a diet, or so forth; but the real benefit to the work comes when someone wants to improve the quality of their relationships and their lives.

But, as of September, 2010, I’m back from my trip teaching English in Cambodia and looking for a paychecked job.  Teaching overseas was great, and I did indeed learn about Buddha-mind; but my savings is wiped out, making it time to punch a timeclock.

I’ve mostly-written a book looking at Hamlet using the language tools of a hypnotist, with some suprising results.  update:  That book is now edited and a pre-publication copy is available through Lulu.  If you’re a publisher in the market for such a book, let me know.

I have a weird love of abstract logical systems, and I go for them like some guys go for hot cars.

  1. You forgot to mention what a total and utter scumbag you are Conrad. Don’t neglect the part about your Prince Albert. I take pleasure in the fact you are homeless with nothing.

  2. Hey there. It’s Felix from No Time To Play. I realize it’s been a very long time, but you once made a game with my authoring system Ramus. (I’m still hosting it, by the way.) You might like to know that after 7 years it’s back in development, and I’m trying to avoid the mistakes that led me to abandon it the first time around. Thank you for supporting it then, and maybe it’s not too late to pick it up again. Cheers!

  3. Hey Felix. Conrad is long dead, didn’t you know. He was found floating in the Charles River.
